Mrs. Shirley Ann Thigpen, age 74 of 4054 Lyons-Center Road, Vidalia died early Friday morning, September 7, 2012 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia following a brief illness.

Mrs. Thigpen was a native and life-long resident of Toombs County.  She was the owner-operator of Wonderland Kennels and a specialty seamstress.  She was Methodist by faith.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Thigpen, Wayne Thigpen and Billy Thigpen, all of Vidalia; one sister, Audrey O'Neal of Gainesville; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Shirley Ann Thigpen will be held at 2 PM Sunday, September 9, 2012 in the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel wil Reverend Robbie Rosier officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
