Mr. Robert E. “Pat” Conner, age 88, of Mt. Vernon, died Wednesday evening, October 28, 2020 at his residence after a brief illness. Pat was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County and retired from Georgia Department of Transportation. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and loved his grandchildren dearly. Pat was a member of Calvary’s Grace Baptist Church.
Pat is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae Conner of Mt. Vernon; and two sons, Robert H. Conner and Mikey Conner, both of Mt. Vernon. Four grandchildren, Sandi Conner, Drew Conner, Derick Conner, and Robert Edwards; and five great-grandchildren, Emmalee, Ellabelle, Luke, Eralynn, and Owen also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Robert E. “Pat” Conner will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 at Calvary’s Grace Baptist Church of Ailey with Pastor Brian Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
