Mr. James Clay “Jimmy” Harvill Jr., age 61, of Mt. Vernon, died Thursday evening, April 16, 2020 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness. James was a native of Wheeler County and resided in Mt. Vernon the past 10 years. He was Baptist by Faith.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janice.
James is survived by two sons, TSgt James Clay Harvill III of the United States Airforce of Sumter S.C., and Levi Billy Jack Harvill of Panama City, Fla; two daughters, Brandi Harvill Norkus (Dr. Gregory) of Vidalia, and Emily Harvill Claxton (Jason) of Ailey; and one sister, Debbie Eubanks of Mt. Vernon. Eight grandchildren, Autumn, Keaton, Matthew, Anneliese, Presley, Christopher, Izabelle, and Jaxon also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. James Clay “Jimmy” Harvill will be held at Snowhill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randall Tarpley officiating. Interment will follow.
