Mr. Ronnie Whitaker, age 64, of Ailey died Sunday, August 13, 2017, at his brothers residence in Mt. Vernon after an extended illness. Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Ailey and retired as a fork lift operator in 2015 from Mar-Key Food Inc. of Vidalia with 32 years of service. He was Baptist by Faith.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Whitaker; his sisters, Alberta Galbraith, Sallie Smith, Margaret Glisson, and Bessie Dees; and his parents, Harmon and Flordia Whitaker.
Ronnie is survived by his brother, Tony Whitaker (Frankie) of Mt. Vernon; his sister, Vera King of Ailey; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ronnie Whitaker will be held Saturday, August 19 2017, at 4:30 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Chris Cagle officiating. The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel Saturday, from 3:00 PM until the hour of the service. Interment will follow at Ferguson Cemetery.
In lieu of the flowers, memorial donations to help with funeral costs may be made to Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service, P.O. Box 664 Vidalia, GA 30475.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
