Mr. W. Theron Conner, age 75, of 1605 Stella Ave, Vidalia died early Wednesday morning October 30, 2013 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness.
Mr. Conner was a native of Montgomery County and had resided in Vidalia for the past twelve years. He retired from Union Camp with 40 years of service. He was a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge, Alee Temple of the Shrine and McGregor Presbyterian Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Joel Claxton in 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Conner of Vidalia; one son, Greg Claxton and wife Karen of Vidalia; one sister, Geraldine Mead of Mount Vernon; one granddaughter, Hanna Claxton of Vidalia; and two grandsons, Corey Claxton of Vidalia and Troy Claxton of Mount Vernon.
Funeral Services for Mr. W. Theron Conner will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Reverend David Blalock officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
