Posted by: Dr. Jackie Castleman Wed November 16, 2016 | My heartfelt sympathy goes out to your family in the loss of Jay. I have fond memories of teaching him in fourth grade and remember him as an intelligent child with a really pleasant personality. Losing a child is so very hard, but I pray that God will comfort and sustain you during the days ahead, as he did for me after Jim's death. God bless you all. |

Posted by: Meryl Wed November 23, 2016 | What a handsome man, Mr. Findlay was. Please allow me to offer my condolences to his parents. Jesus spoke of a time when “all those in the memorial tombs” would “come out” to renewed life in a paradise earth.—John 5:28, 29; Luke 23:43. True, that glowing hope does not take all the tragedy out of death. Jesus himself broke down and cried over the death of his friend Lazarus—and that was just minutes before he resurrected him! At least, then, death is not always final. The Bible calls death “the last enemy” and says that it will “be brought to nothing.” (1 Corinthians 15:26) Then, when parents are reunited with the children they lost to death, we will at last be able to say, ‘Death, where is your sting?’—Hosea 13:14. I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved son, Jay. May God's Word comfort you and your family. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org |
