Reverend Wauthene Stewart, age 87, of Lyons, died Monday, April 27, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness. Wauthene was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County and has been a minister since 1980. She was the pastor of The People’s Full Gospel Church of Lyons for many years and was presently a member of Reedy Creek Full Gospel Church.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joe Tillman Stewart; and one granddaughter, LaceyJo Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, Monroe David Stewart of Lyons; one son, David D. Stewart(Mary Nell) of Lyons; two daughters, Lawanna Griffin(John) of Lyons, and Sherry Screws(Willie) of Hayesville N.C.; and one sister, Tiny Gillis of Vidalia. Twelve grandchildren, Thirteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services for Reverend Wauthene Stewart will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Reedy Creek Full Gospel Church Cemetery with Reverend Guy Aaron officiating. Interment will follow.

Monroe and family,
So very sorry to hear of Hannah's passing, but very thankful she no longer suffers here, but is where she talked about so often, the arms of Jesus. Love yall and wish we could be together at this time....prayers for yall!🙏🙏❤
