Mr. Vernon Lee Williams, age 63, of Uvalda, died Saturday afternoon August 10, 2019 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness. Vernon was a native of Wilson, N.C., having lived in Uvalda for the past 10 years. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He was Protestant by Faith.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Jackolyn Williams of Uvalda; three sons, Lionel Watson of Claxton, Herbert Lee Fuller of Uvalda, and Derick Lee Watson who is stationed in Japan serving in the United States Marine Corp. Four sisters, Jennifer Walker of Greenville N.C., Sharon Pearson of Greenville N.C., Pearline Joseph of Pompano Beach, FL. And Paula Howell of Columbia S.C.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Interment will be followed at a later date.
