Mrs. Rhonda Gibbs, age 43, of Lyons died Thursday morning December 13, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Savannah after injuries received on December 5, 2018 in an automobile accident. Rhonda was a native of St. George, Georgia and resided in Vidalia for the past 20 years. She was an office assistant at Vidalia Cardiology Associates and was a member of Soperton Church of God.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Anthony Gibbs of Lyons; two sons, Christian and Dalton Gibbs of Lyons; four daughters, Kattie King (Eric) of Vidalia, Jessica Gibbs of Lyons, Taylor Phillips (Quincy) of Lyons, and Autumn Gibbs of Lyons; her father, Franklin Blalock of Callahan, Fl.; two brothers, Gary Anderson of Folkston and Ricky Anderson of Hilton Head, S.C.; and one sister, June Graham of Lyons. Two grandchildren, Aubrey of Sanford, Fl. and Jake of Lyons also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rhonda Gibbs will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 4:00 PM with Reverend Greg Lowery and Reverend Rodney Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My husband Bradley worked with Rhonda several years ago. She had a calm, sweet demeanor that stands out in my memory even though we only met a few times. I have also experienced the pain of losing a parent in the prime of their life, and my heart goes out to her children. May you have peace in the coming days and months. Grief comes in waves. At first it feels like the waves will consume you. They never go away entirely, but I promise those waves get smaller and easier to bear over time. God bless you all.

My deepest condolences to the family. The Bible frequently speaks of a time when our loved ones who are asleep in death will be brought back to life here on earth. One instance being at John 5:28. I hope this can bring a little comfort at this time.
