Mrs. Rosa Joyner Soley, age 78, of Vidalia died Monday, July 17, 2017, at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness. Mrs. Rosa was a native of Toombs County, and resided in Alabama for a brief time before returning to Vidalia a few years ago. Mrs. Rosa is a retired employee of Walmart and a member of Webb Baptist Church, of Webb Alabama.
Mrs. Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Clara Joyner; and her brothers, William (Bill) Joyner, Dennis Joyner, and Clarence Joyner.
Mrs. Rosa is survived by her sons, Thomas Soley of Ellabell, Gil Soley of Columbia AL,Gary Soley of Cobbtown, and Wayne Outlaw of Alston; her daughters, Lisa McConnell of Plains, and Patricia Chesser of Webb AL; and her brothers, Talmadge Joyner of Lyons, and Charles Joyner of Thomson. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Joyner Soley will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 11:00 am at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Andy Soley, Reverend Joe Siman, and Reverend Mitch Bellflower officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Ms. Rosa was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. We went to church together at Lakeside and she was precious. May God give each of you comfort and peace in the days ahead.

my heart breaks for the family just as my heart is broken..she was a great lady and the best mother-in-law anyone could have.. she took me into the family and treated me just like one of her own..and i know there will never be one like her for she was a great lady, and i love her dearly..she would want her family to take comfort in the Lord dureing this time of grief..she will be so missed but will forever remain in our hearts and memories..love u rosa soley and god bless ure children and family dureing their hour of need..
