Mr. George Daniel, age 85, of Hardeeville, S.C. died early Friday morning, October 9, 2015 at Coastal Carolina Hospital of Hardeeville S.C. after an extended illness.

George was a native of Vidalia and had resided in Hardeeville S.C. for many years.  He was the owner and operator of George’s Tackle Shop in Vidalia until the late 1990’s.  He was a retired Civil Service Employee and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife, Mary Daniel of Hardeeville; his son, Patrick Daniel of Hardeeville; his daughter, Sheila Baker and husband Gary of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Ray Daniel of Byron and Don Daniel of Dublin’ and three grandchildren, Kali, Kaden and Abby.

The Funeral Mass for Mr. George Daniel will be held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Vidalia with Father Ben Dallas officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Rosary Service scheduled at 7:30 pm.
