Mr. Carmelo Marin, age 57, of 1414 George Hill Road died early Monday morning, April 29, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness.
Mr. Marin was a native of Mexico and had lived in Lyons for the past 30 years. He was a farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Fidencia Olivarez of Lyons; his son, Mike Marin of Lyons; three daughters, Rosa Marin of Lyons, Anita Marin of Lyons, and Carmen Marin of Lyons; two brothers, Ramon Marin of San Antonio, TX and Robert Marin of Lyons; five sisters, Filomena Bustos of Lyons, Trinidad Garcia of Lyons, Maria Senn of Dublin, Angelina Bustos of San Antonio, TX, and Rosita Perales of Winston Salem, NC; and five grandchildren, Joseph Aguero, Nathan Aguero, Anna Michelle Mendez; Laura Zamorano and Rodger Zamorano.
The Funeral Mass for Mr. Carmelo Marin will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Ben Dallas officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
