Mr. Charlie Strickland, age 62, of Vidalia died Tuesday evening, March 5, 2013 in Dublin after a sudden illness.
Charlie was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County. He was a meat cutter working in several area markets. He was Pentecostal by faith.
Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Reba Strickland of Vidalia; two sons, Shannon Dewayne Strickland of Tifton and Charlie Shane Strickland of Vidalia; two daughters, Sherry Roberson of Vidalia and Ashley Jessup of Rentz; four brothers, Albert Strickland of Vidalia, Steve Strickland of Wauchula, FL., Harley Strickland of Vidalia and William Strickland of Vidalia; and one sister, Ruby Lee Faircloth of Vidalia. Eight grand-children also survive.
Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Strickland will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church of Vidalia with Reverend John Young and Reverend Phillip Young officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church beginning at 12 noon until the hour of the service.
Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service of Vidalia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
