Mrs. Reba Faye Lynn Collins Lamb, age 86, of Vidalia died Friday, January 8, 2016 at Meadows Park Health and Rehabilitation of Vidalia following an extended illness.
Mrs. Lamb was a native of Lyons, Georgia, where she lived most of her life. She was the retired owner and operator of Collins Grocery and served as postmaster of Oak Park for many years until her retirement. She was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Vidalia.
Mrs. Lamb is preceded in death by her husband Brinson Lamb and her grandson, little Larry Marvin Collins II.
Mrs. Lamb is survived by one son, Larry Marvin Collins of Milledgeville; two daughters, Jerris June Collins Bass and husband Cecil of Milledgeville, and Faye Hughes and husband Vernon of Vidalia; one sister, Jackie Parker of Swainsboro; and three grandchildren, Dwayne and Wendell Kight of Milledgeville, and Sherry Damron of Vidalia; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Faye Lynn Collins Lamb will be Monday, January 11, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Sherry Damron and Reverend Paul Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Ohoopee Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
