Mrs. Monica Foskey, age 93, of Vidalia died Sunday morning September 21, 2014, at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness.
She was a native of Toombs County while living most of her life in Montgomery County. She was a homemaker and Baptist by Faith.
Mrs. Foskey is preceded in death by her husband Ezra Foskey; three sons J.D. Foskey, Roy Foskey, and Troy Foskey.
Monica is survived by her sons; Wayne and wife Kitty Foskey of Lyons; Steve and wife Brenda Foskey of Lyons, Glen and wife Debbie Foskey of Uvalda, Dale and wife Connie Foskey of Milledgeville, and Darwin and wife Tammy Foskey of Mount Vernon; her daughters Carolyn and husband C.L. Palmer of Vidalia, Merle and husband Frank Roberts of Milledgeville, Debra and husband Randy Ussery of Beechmont, Kentucky, and Joann and husband Bobby Joe Ward of Mount Vernon; her sister Annie Lou Barnett of Phoenix, AZ; and twenty-five grandchildren. Many great and great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Monica Foskey will be held Tuesday September 23, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Stewart- Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Steven Toole officiating. Interment will follow in Harden’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 PM.
