Mrs. Mina Hinson, age 93, of Lyons, died early Thursday morning July 31, 2014, at Glenview Health and Rehab after an extended illness.

Mina was a native of Virginia and had resided in Lyons since 1972.  She was a seamstress and was Baptist by faith.  

Mrs. Hinson is preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Hinson and numerous siblings.

Mina is survived by four sons Fred W. Hinson and his wife Sherrie of Reidsville, Steve L. Hinson and his wife Kay of Glenville, Bobby Hinson and his wife Michelle of Rincon, and Chris Hinson of Lyons; one daughter Brenda Bales and her husband Basel of Quinnwood, West Virginia; one brother Basil Hamlin of Glenvar, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mina Hinson will be held Saturday August 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Stewart- Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Robbie Rosier officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
