John Avery McRae, age 69, of Pavo died Tuesday June 3, 2014 in Montgomery County after an extended illness.
John was a native and lifelong resident of Pavo. He was a farmer and a commercial truck driver. He was Church of God by faith.
Mr. McRae is survived by his wife, Willie mae McRae of Pavo; two daughters, Tammy Cook of Pavo and Wanda McCracken of Pavo; three brothers, Evan McRae of Thomasville, Hayward McRae of Moultrie and Joe McRae of Coolidge; and one sister, Clara Musick of Moultrie. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. John Avery McRae will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Lebanon Cemetery in Pavo at 11:00 am with Reverend SE Newberry officiating.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service of Vidalia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
